Soccer Game Preview: Ukiah vs. Campolindo

Ukiah has won three straight games at home, while Campolindo has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Ukiah take on the Campolindo at 12:00 p.m. Ukiah will be strutting in after a victory while Campolindo will be coming in after a defeat.

Ukiah is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Novato a 10-0 shutout last Friday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Hornets are ranked 1014th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Campolindo's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Friday. They lost 5-1 to Northgate. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Sara Brockmeier, who's now up to three this season.

Ukiah has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four matchups. As for Campolindo, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.
