Brady and Early are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Brady's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five games.
Brady is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Eastland, posting a 70-31 win. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 70-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mavericks cut but never quite recovered from.

Brady got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashton Taylor out in front who rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Taylor's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 111 rushing yards. Sean Jacoby was another key player, rushing for 93 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Brady was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 426 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Brady's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Taylor, Johnny Roque, and Demarcus Reed, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Early made easy work of Clifton on Friday and carried off a 28-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.
Brady better keep an eye on Caden Wilson. He was instrumental in Early's win, throwing for 144 yards and two TDs on only 13 passes, while also rushing for 50 yards and one touchdown. Wilson's passing game has become a key predictor of the Longhorns' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Brady, their record now sits at 5-2.
Everything came up roses for Brady against Early in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-15 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
