Football Recap: Ferriday's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Ferriday lost against Mangham back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans fell 56-48 to the Dragons. The loss was the Trojans' first of the season.

Despite the loss, Ferriday saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jase Harris threw for 267 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 66 yards and one score on only five carries. Desmen Jefferson was Harris' top target, picking up 103 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also punching in one TD on the ground.

Ferriday's defeat dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Mangham, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ferriday is set to challenge their familiar foe Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mangham will take on rival Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
