Softball Recap: Hazelwood West Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Hazelwood West's offense. They fell just short of the Kirkwood Pioneers by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. That makes it the first time this season the Wildcats have let down their home crowd.

Allisan Cafolla spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.

Hazelwood West's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Kirkwood, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazelwood West will square off against Pattonville at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kirkwood, they will challenge Ritenour at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
