Softball Recap: Pella's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Pella came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets. The Dutch have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rockets, too.

Pella's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-10. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pella will challenge Oskaloosa at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Twin Cedars at 7:00 p.m.
