Soccer Game Preview: Acalanes vs. Campolindo

The Acalanes Dons will head out to face off against the Campolindo Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Acalanes is headed into the matchup having not lost since December 7 and will look to keep things rolling. They had just enough and edged Miramonte out 1-0 on Thursday. The Dons' winning goal came courtesy of Nicole Nguyen.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Campolindo's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They and Clayton Valley Charter finished up their game with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Cougars' first draw of the season.

With that draw, Campolindo's record moves to 10-2-1. As for Acalanes, their win bumped their record up to 4-1-4.

Acalanes suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Campolindo in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Acalanes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
