Baseball Recap: North Clayton Find Success

North Clayton came out on top against Cedar Grove on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Eagles took their contest against the Saints 8-5. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won three in a row.

Jayven Mack was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for North Clayton: the team is 2-0-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-12 otherwise. Jamere Rhyme also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

North Clayton's victory bumped their record up to 2-12-1. As for Cedar Grove, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Clayton beat the Saints by a score of 11-7 on Thursday.
