Soccer Game Preview: Olympian vs. Valhalla

The Olympian Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Valhalla Norsemen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Valhalla took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Olympian, who comes in off a win.

Olympian headed into their last game having not scored more than one goal for six straight, but Montgomery let them put that streak behind them. Olympian never let Montgomery onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory last Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Eagles' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting Montgomery from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Anneth Perez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Valhalla came up short against San Diego on Monday, falling 5-1. The Norsemen were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-1.

Valhalla now has a losing record at 4-5-2. As for Olympian, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.
