Preview: Lodi Flames vs. Gregori Jaguars
The Lodi Flames will face off against the Gregori Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Gregori took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lodi, who comes in off a win.
Lodi put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against Tokay as Lodi made off with a 58-33 win. The victory was familiar territory for Lodi who now have three in a row.
Meanwhile, Gregori struggled with threes on Thursday (Pitman had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Gregori took a hard 57-38 fall against Pitman. Gregori was down 52-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the defeat, Gregori saw an underclassman step up: Veronica Whitten dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. Whitten has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alanah Lopez, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lodi has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season. As for Gregori, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-12.
