Football Recap: Carson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Carson played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 49-14 loss at the hands of the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Despite the loss, Carson still got an impressive performance from Griffin Barber, who rushed for 71 yards and one TD, and also threw for 21 yards and one touchdown.

Northwest Cabarrus' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Titus Troy, who rushed for 228 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 12.7 yards per carry. Troy's longest rush was for an incredible 93 yards. Hudson Irwin was another key player, throwing for 195 yards and three touchdowns.

Carson suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 3-3. As for Northwest Cabarrus, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.
