Baseball Game Preview: Midtown Knights vs. Creekside Seminoles

For the second straight game, Midtown will face off against Creekside. Midtown will be playing in front of their home fans against Creekside at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. Midtown will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

On Friday, Midtown got the win against Creekside by a conclusive 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Henry Carter looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero hits, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Charlie Frederick was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Patrick Rebillot was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Midtown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Creekside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Midtown, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.

Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Midtown has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .461. However, it's not like Creekside struggles in that department as they've averaged .485. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
