Basketball Recap: Willows Honkers vs. Winters Warriors
Willows was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winters Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 36-31 back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Willows lost, don't look at Karla DiMaggio. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Annalise Figueroa, who had eight points.
Willows' record now sits at 6-17. As for Winters, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Coincidentally, Willows and Winters will both be playing Colusa the next time they take the court. Willows will host Colusa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Winters will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
