Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Comes Up Short

Faith Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Abundant Life Academy and fell 40-2. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Faith Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-5 on January 9th.

Abundant Life Academy was led to victory by Mariana Hyppolito and Jaelle Vital. Hyppolito went 7 of 17 en route to 17 points along with six boards and three steals, while Vital posted four points in addition to ten steals, five rebounds, and five blocks. Another player making a difference was Stephanie Barnes, who earned eight points and five boards.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Abundant Life Academy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-4.

Faith Christian will welcome Trinity Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Abundant Life Academy, they will take on American Christian School at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
