Football Game Preview: Concordia Panthers vs. Norton Bluejays + How To Watch

The Concordia Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Norton Bluejays on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Concordia is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Rock Creek on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Panthers were outmatched by the Mustangs and fell 48-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Mustangs are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, Norton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Phillipsburg 55-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bluejays were not able to get on the board.

Concordia now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Norton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Concordia might still be hurting after the 27-7 defeat they got from Norton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Panthers, Eli Jones (who threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 63 yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
