Recap: Highland Scots vs. Independence Falcons
The Highland Scots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Independence, falling 63-25. Highland was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-12.
It was another big night for Kaylynn Bolden, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 18 rebounds for Independence. Bolden has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Fletcher, who scored 16 points along with seven steals and five assists.
Highland has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Independence, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-9.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Bakersfield the next time they take the court. Independence will head out to face Bakersfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Highland will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
