Soccer Game Preview: Norwalk vs. Mayfair

Norwalk is 0-10 against Mayfair since January of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Lancers will head out to square off against the Monsoons at 8:00 p.m.

Norwalk is headed into Thursday's match following a draw, the team's first since December 13. They and Bellflower finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mayfair, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Dominguez on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what Mayfair needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

They hit Dominguez with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kendyl Gutierrez (2), Surrey Nesper (2), and Arianna Jimeno.

Mayfair has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those eight contests. With that draw, Norwalk's record moves to 4-12-2.
