Softball Recap: Ralston Makes It 12 in a Row at Home

Ralston hadn't done well against Nebraska City recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 7-3. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly four runs.

Makenzie Macrander spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Ralston saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lydia Cooper, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most RBI Cooper has posted since back in September of 2024. Another was Maddie Ochsner, who earned one run and two stolen bases.
