Recap: Greenwood Rangers vs. Graham Steers
The Greenwood Rangers lost against the Graham Steers back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Greenwood took a hard 44-26 fall against Graham. While losing is never fun, Greenwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 581st, while Graham is ranked 149th).
Rylan Monsey was his usual excellent self, rushing for 193 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also catching a touchdown. Monsey is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Jace Gill and his 96 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Graham's win.
Greenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Graham, their win was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1.
Greenwood will take on Hirschi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hirschi is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. Graham will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hillsboro at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th.
