Softball Recap: Weleetka Drops Highest Score of Season Against Okmulgee

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weleetka). Everything went their way against the Okmulgee Bulldogs on Tuesday as they made off with a 25-8 victory. The result was nothing new for the Outlaws, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Weleetka is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Okmulgee, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weleetka will challenge Varnum at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Okmulgee, they will face off against Kellyville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
