Basketball Recap: Mount Pleasant Comes Up Short at Home Against Lake Norman Charter + How To Watch

Mount Pleasant unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Lake Norman Charter Knights on Tuesday, falling 75-54.

Leading Lake Norman Charter to victory were Collin McConneyhead and Kameron Davis. McConneyhead shot 54% from the field en route to 28 points, while Davis went 6-for-15 on his way to 15 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Those 28 points gave McConneyhead a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Carter, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mount Pleasant is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Concord at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Norman Charter, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Weddington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
