Football Recap: Atchison Piles Up the Points Against Harmon

There's no place like home for Atchison, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Harmon Hawks 55-0 on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Phoenix just coasted through the last quarter.

Jack Bilderback had a dynamite game, rushing for 68 yards and two TDs on only six carries. Kolten Bonnel also deserves a shout-out for his two scores.

Atchison didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jeremiah Thompson and Noah Martin. Aiden Honeywell was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The victory got Atchison back to even at 1-1. As for Harmon, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Atchison will square off against rival Sumner Academy on Friday. Meanwhile, Harmon is set to take on their familiar foe Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
