Recap: Towanda Black Knights vs. Williamson Warriors
The Towanda Black Knights were the 51-43 winner over the Williamson Warriors when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Towanda took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williamson on Thursday.
Williamson was led to victory by Taylor Rae Jones and Kenna Thomas. Jones scored 17 points along with seven steals and five rebounds, while Thomas dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Jones' sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Towanda has fallen quite a ways from their 18-7 record last season and are now at 1-2. As for Williamson, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Towanda will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wyalusing Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for Williamson, they will head out on the road to face off against Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
