Baseball Game Preview: Johnson Knights vs. Lumpkin County Indians

The Johnson Knights will square off against the Lumpkin County Indians at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnson's hitters haven't had much luck over their past 19 matches, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Johnson fell victim to North Hall and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 16-0.

Meanwhile, Lumpkin County didn't have quite enough to beat White County on Friday and fell 5-4.

Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Lumpkin County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Johnson might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Lumpkin County when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
