Baseball Recap: Tattnall County Takes a Loss

Tattnall County blew Liberty County out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Liberty County got their revenge. The Tattnall County Warriors fell just short of the Liberty County Panthers by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Warriors have suffered since February 27, 2024.

Bailey Blair put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Miles Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Tattnall County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs over those games. Liberty County's record now sits at 5-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tattnall County beat Liberty County by a score of 3-0 later that day.
