After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Athens Academy, Elbert County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Oglethorpe County Patriots with a sharp 5-2 win. It was an even better day for Daniel Ezqueda as he scored three goals for his team.

Elbert County's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Oglethorpe County, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Elbert County will host Banks County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Elbert County will be up against Banks County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.18 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
