Football Recap: Mildred Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clarksville last Friday, Mildred came back down to earth. The Eagles were beaten by the Westwood Panthers 63-26 on Friday. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-7.

Although Mildred took the loss, they still got scores from Wyatt Firth, Paxton Southard, and Luke McKendree.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mildred fell to 4-1. As for Westwood, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Mildred and Westwood will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Frankston at 7:00 p.m. on October 9. As for Westwood, their break will end when they face Crockett at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
