Soccer Recap: Johnson Comes Up Short

Johnson fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Savannah Arts Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Savannah Arts Academy Panthers by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Atomsmashers have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Abdul Mohammed, which was the first he's scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Johnson and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Savannah Arts Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Johnson wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Woodville-Tompkins on the 18th. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-1 defeat against Jenkins on the 18th.
