Softball Recap: Gatewood Gators vs. Edmund Burke Academy Spartans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Athens Christian, Gatewood was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 two weeks ago.

Riley Roberts made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
