Girls basketball: No. 3 Brea Olinda defeats No. 1 Mater Dei again

Brea fights out of a 9-0 hole to knock Mater Dei out of the undefeated ranks for the second consecutive season.
SANTA ANA, Calif. - Jeanier Olukemi had 17 points and third-ranked Brea Olinda (Brea, Calif.) fought back from a 9-0 deficit to knock off top-ranked and host Mater Dei 47-43 in the initial Tony Matson Memorial Classic Monday night.
Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis had 23 points for the Monarchs (17-1), who lost in the CIF South Regional Division II finals last season.
Brea Olinda improved to 15-2.
