Basketball Recap: Lincoln Prep's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lincoln Prep took a 32-point loss the last time they faced off against Ray, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lincoln Prep Lightning skirted past the Ray Bearcats 64-61. The win was nothing new for the Lightning as they're now sitting on three straight.

Torey Williams was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucky Singh, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Lincoln Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Lincoln Prep's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Ray, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Lincoln Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-49 defeat against Santa Cruz Valley on the 8th. As for Ray, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-22 win against San Manuel on the 7th.
