Softball Recap: Hershey Takes a Loss

Hershey had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-3 to make it six. They came up short against the Gering Bulldogs, falling 16-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 15-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

As for Gering, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Gering's part, Brodee Luce looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Jaleigh Bohac was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rylee Luce, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Gering beat Hershey by a score of 13-1 later that day.
