Long County fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Southeast Bulloch on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Yellow Jackets by a score of 2-1. The Blue Tide's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Long County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Southeast Bulloch, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-9.

While Long County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
