Baseball Game Preview: Cherokee Warriors vs. Buford Wolves

The Cherokee Warriors will head out to face off against the Buford Wolves at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. Cherokee has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while Buford will come in with six straight victories.

On Wednesday, Cherokee came up short against Fellowship Christian and fell 11-7.

Meanwhile, Buford got themselves on the board against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee on Monday, but Rabun Gap-Nacoochee never followed suit. They didn't even let the Eagles on the board, marking their second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Buford's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.8 runs. As for Cherokee, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
