Soccer Game Preview: Laguna Creek vs. Franklin

Laguna Creek is 0-5 against Franklin since December of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Laguna Creek challenge the Franklin at 6:00 p.m.

Laguna Creek's last contest might've seen six goals scored, but the final result was still a bit underwhelming. Neither they nor Sheldon could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

Meanwhile, Franklin had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Thundering Herd a 3-0 shutout. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by three goals or more this season.

Franklin pushed their record up to 11-5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. Laguna Creek's draw makes their record 7-5-5 this season.

Laguna Creek might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Franklin in their previous matchup back in January. Can Laguna Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
