Soccer Game Preview: Santa Fe Christian vs. Bishop's

The Santa Fe Christian Eagles will head out to square off against the Bishop's Knights at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop's took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Santa Fe Christian, who comes in off a win.

Santa Fe Christian's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed back in December of 2024. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over Foothills Christian. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Knights are ranked 531st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Bishop's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 2-0 loss to Cathedral Catholic. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Knights haven't been shut out since back in November of 2024.

Santa Fe Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Bishop's, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.

Santa Fe Christian took their win against Bishop's in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 5-0. Will Santa Fe Christian repeat their success, or does Bishop's have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
