Cape Elizabeth's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down the Sacopee Valley Hawks 60-42. The Capers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Sacopee Valley still got an impressive performance from Maxwell Tripp, who rushed for 299 yards and six TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Tripp is now averaging an impressive 147.5 rushing yards per game.

Cape Elizabeth's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Sacopee Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Cape Elizabeth will venture away from home to square off against Camden Hills at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sacopee Valley, they will face off against Old Orchard Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Seagulls have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
