Soccer Game Preview: High Tech SD vs. Southwest SD

The High Tech SD Storm will venture away from home to square off against the Southwest SD Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

High Tech SD's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Canyon Hills 1-0. The Storm wouldn't have won without Sadie Gabriel, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Southwest SD had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Falcons as they made off with a 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Southwest SD, bringing their record for this year to 11-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matchups. As for High Tech SD, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.

High Tech SD might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Southwest SD when the teams last played back in December of 2016. Can High Tech SD avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
