Ventura kept a clean sheet against Rio Mesa on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rio Mesa Spartans, sneaking past 1-0. Kaitlyn Wright had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Cougars.

Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matchups. As for Rio Mesa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14-5 record this season.
