Recap: Brockway Rovers vs. DuBois Beavers
Even though the Brockway Rovers have not done well against the DuBois Beavers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Brockway pulled ahead with a 38-37 photo finish over DuBois. For Brockway, this counts as revenge for the 42-12 defeat DuBois walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Brockway's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophia Schmader, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds and 8 steals. Another player making a difference was Raegan Gelnette, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Brockway's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for DuBois, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brockway will take on Punxsutawney at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for DuBois, they will be playing at home against Central Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
