Basketball Recap: Dana Hills Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Jordan, Dana Hills was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They managed a 49-44 victory over the Laguna Beach Breakers. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but the Dolphins were the better team in the second half.

Laguna Beach's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fiona McCormick, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, McCormick is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Lakeln Welch was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Dana Hills' record is now 5-13. As for Laguna Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-8.
