Basketball Recap: Big Valley Takes a Loss

Big Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 29-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plumas Charter Warriors. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Plumas Charter found their leader in freshman Jaycee Pew, who posted five points and 22 rebounds. With that strong performance, Pew is now averaging an impressive 9.3 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Alexis Winters, who earned six points.

Big Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Plumas Charter, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Big Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-39 defeat against Burney on the 14th. As for Plumas Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 48-32 loss against Chester on the 14th.
