Soccer Recap: Rockmart Takes a Loss

Rockmart lost against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rockmart Yellowjackets came up short against the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors, falling 7-3. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Yellowjackets were already down 5-1.

Riley Gober and Ezra Robillard scored all three of Rockmart's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Rockmart's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Rockmart will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against North Murray at 7:30 p.m. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they will venture away from home to square off against Model at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Model's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's offense will have their work cut out for them.
