            Softball Recap: Brooks County Trojans vs. Turner County Titans        
        
		
        
        
            Brooks County came into Thursday's   contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Turner County Titans 17-1 on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Trojans' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

 Zoey White made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with three  stolen bases and three  runs. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Brooks County got a  massive  performance out of  Rahasia Frazier, who  went 2-for-3 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. That  triple was  Frazier's first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Janiyah Thomas, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 Brooks County  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .615. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
The  win was their first  on the road , bumping their record up to 2-9. As for Turner County, their loss was  their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-9.
 Coming up, Brooks County will square off against Lanier County at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Turner County, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Mitchell County  at 5:00  p.m.
