Soccer Game Preview: St. Helena vs. Kelseyville

The St. Helena Saints will face off against the Kelseyville Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Kelseyville better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when St. Helena really get things going. St. Helena's defense stepped up to hand St. Vincent de Paul a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Kelseyville had just enough and edged Corning out 4-3 on Tuesday. Considering the Knights' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Kelseyville's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for St. Helena, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.

St. Helena came out on top in a nail-biter against Kelseyville when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Does St. Helena have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kelseyville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
