Softball Recap: Chadron Comes Up Short

The Chadron Cardinals came up short against the St. Cecilia Bluehawks on Friday and fell 8-4. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addisyn Gruver was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cali Hendrickson, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Chadron's loss dropped their record down to 15-14. As for St. Cecilia, they pushed their record up to 24-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

While Chadron had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
