Softball Game Preview: Newcastle Racers vs. Blanchard Lions

The Newcastle Racers will take on the Blanchard Lions on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Newcastle 3.5, Blanchard 1.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Newcastle earned a 6-3 win over Cache. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Racers.

Meanwhile, Blanchard posted their closest victory since September 12th on Thursday. They skirted past Bethany 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bronchos: they've now won six in a row.

Newcastle's victory bumped their record up to 22-5-1. As for Blanchard, their win bumped their record up to 31-7.

Newcastle couldn't quite get it done against Blanchard when the teams last played back in September of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can the Racers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
