Football Game Preview: Deming Wildcats vs. Goddard Rockets + How To Watch

The Deming Wildcats will take on the Goddard Rockets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

It was a proper cat-fight when Deming duked it out with Gadsden on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 27-7. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Deming's defeat came about despite a quality game from Joan Ramirez, who picked up 149 receiving yards. Ramirez's receiving production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 109 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Goddard faced Roswell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rockets received a blow as they fell 35-21 to the Coyotes. That makes it the first time this season the Rockets have let down their home crowd.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 6-4. As for Deming, their record is now 1-9.

Deming couldn't quite get it done against Goddard in their previous matchup back in October as they fell 40-33. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
