Softball Recap: La Junta Tigers vs. Alamosa Mean Moose
La Junta lost against Alamosa back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mean Moose.
Madayln Tafoya made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.
La Junta's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Alamosa, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
La Junta will square off against Discovery Canyon at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Thunder at the right time seeing as the Thunder are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Alamosa, they will challenge Lamar at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
