Soccer Recap: Mount Miguel Takes a Loss

Mount Miguel lost against Helix back in February of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mount Miguel Matadors came up short against the Helix Highlanders, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Matadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 787th, while the Highlanders are ranked 241st).

Mount Miguel is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8. As for Helix, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Miguel will host El Cajon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Helix, they will welcome Monte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th.
