Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Union Broncos vs. Rosamond Roadrunners

Bishop Union is 2-8 against Rosamond since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bishop Union Broncos will venture away from home to square off against the Rosamond Roadrunners at 6:00 p.m. Bishop Union's defense has only allowed 24.3 points per game this season, so Rosamond's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Bishop Union saw some tournament action last Saturday. They took a hard 54-37 fall against Antelope Valley. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Antelopes are ranked 166th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kristin Allen, who posted 21 points. That was a full 56.8% of Bishop Union's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tannyr Ludwick, who earned seven points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Rosamond entered their match against Eastside on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Rosamond lost to Eastside at home by a 47-33 margin.

Bishop Union's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Rosamond, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-4.

Bishop Union ended up a good deal behind Rosamond in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, losing 40-22. Can Bishop Union avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
